If you happened to attend one of Olivia Rodrigo‘s very first GUTS tour shows, you probably caught Chappell Roan as an opening act. But, if you didn’t, we’ll always have last night’s show in Los Angeles, where the duo reunited on the GUTS stage to perform together.
On August 20, 2024, Chappell Roan surprised the crowd at Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS concert at the Intuit Dom. “I’ve known this next artist for about four years now,” Rodrigo recounted while introducing Roan on stage. “Two years ago, she actually opened for me on the SOUR tour, and I was so lucky to have her open for me for a lot of the GUTS world tour dates earlier this year.
“I absolutely adore her,” Rodrigo continued. “I think she is one of the most singular, inspiring, powerful artists I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting, and I’m so excited because she’s going to sing one of my favorite songs of all time with me today.”

Rodrigo introduced Roan as her “friend” on stage to roars from the crowd. The duo went on to perform Roan’s hit track “Hot to Go!” together, syncing their moves during the YMCA-style chorus and even more general moves.
