Vivienne Jolie Seemingly Drops “Pitt” From Last Name

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s 15-year-old daughter Vivienne seemingly dropped “Pitt” from her last name amid her parents’ ongoing legal battle.

According to People, the teen appears as “Vivienne Jolie” (not “Vivienne Jolie-Pitt”) in the playbill for the new musical The Outsiders, which she helped produce alongside her famous mom—however, it’s not certain if she made the change legal yet.  

Either way, Vivienne isn’t the only one in the Jolie-Pitt bunch to go by a new name. Back in November 2023, her older sister Zahara introduced herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie” when joining the Mu Pi chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spellman College, and Shiloh also appears to only use her mom’s last name after her dance teacher tagged her as “Shi Jolie” in a now-viral video on Instagram.  

Jolie filed for divorced and for sole custody of her and Pitt’s six children—Vivienne, Zahara, Knox, Maddox, Pax and Shiloh—in 2016, and since then, the actor has been reported to have a strained relationship with the kids. “It’s been a sad situation for years,” source previously told People in August 2022.

“Since Angelina filed for divorce, Brad has been focused on having the best relationship possible with his kids,” the insider said. “It’s been very difficult for him. Many times, there have been long gaps where he didn’t see the kids at all.”

They added, “He misses the kids when he doesn’t see them. He still has many good things going on in his life. He has a positive attitude. He believes there will be a time when he has a great relationship with his kids again.”
