Why Martha Stewart Won’t Be the Golden Bachelorette

News

Now that Bachelor Nation has two new shows to obsess over—that’d be The Golden Bachelor and the new Golden Bachelorette—fans are clamoring for Martha Stewart to take a turn on the dating show. However, the domestic diva and reality show vet broke hearts everywhere when she said she would never take on the mantle of Golden Bachelorette for a very specific reason. Appearing alongside her BFF Snoop Dogg on last night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Stewart was pressed about the possibility of participating on the show during a game.

When host Andy Cohen asked her about maybe taking on The Golden Bachelorette, Stewart said that she would “absolutely not” join the new take on the beloved (and long-running) Bachelor franchise.

Even when presented with the prospect of a larger-than-life paycheck—Cohen tempted her with $1,000,000 an episode—Stewart stood firm.

“No, the guys aren’t hot enough,” she said.

“It ain’t about money, it’s about how hot the guys are,” Snoop confirmed.

The Golden Bachelorette premiered this year after last year’s wildly successful Golden Bachelor. Currently, the Golden Bachelorette is Joan Vassos, who was in the debut season of Golden Bachelor. At the start of the season, Vassos had 25 men vying for her affections. Stewart is no stranger to reality TV, having hosted a talk show, The Martha Stewart Show, and an iteration of The Apprentice called The Apprentice: Martha Stewart, which aired in 2005.

Stewart is currently celebrating her 100th book, Martha: The Cookbook, and her upcoming Netflix documentary, Martha, which hits the streamer on October 30.
